Playing XI Of Nepal For Nepal, USA and Oman Trianguar Series - My Opinions

Nepal got a golden opportunity to host a first ODI series at Tribhuwan University Ground on the first week of February. The match will be played as Tri-series between Nepal, Oman and United States of America.  Millions of cricket fans are eagerly waiting the clash between  three equally competitive teams.

USA and Oman named their unchanged squad for this series. However, Nepal announced shocking sets of players with some new faces due to unavailability  of some players. So, today I am going to give my opinions on playing XI for Nepal Cricket Team.

Openers:
1/2 Gyanendra Malla & Kushal Malla
This Malla's duo might open the inning in this series. There are no any regular openers (Subash Khakurel, Anil Sah, Sunil Dhamala) in the final squad.  Paras used to open the inning in T20 games, but he will not open in ODI games. Left-right opening combination will give great advantages to the team. Kushal Malla can play the role of fifth bowler in the spin friendly pitch.

Middle Orders
3/4/5 Paras Khadka, Dipendra Airee, Aarif Sheikh
These three players are regular middle order batsmen. They have the ability to rotate the strike and hitting odd boundaries. So this set will be perfect for the middle orders. The good news is all three players performed excellent in the  previous Pokhara Premier League and they all are in red-hot-form.

Finishers
6/7/8  Sharad Vesawkar, Binod Bhandari, Karan KC
Sharad, Binod and Karan should take responsibility to end the inning. They are known as hard-hitter batsmen. If necessary, hey can rotate the strike and take games to the end.  Karan KC will bowl his full quota.

Bowlers:
9/10/11 Sandeep Lamichhane, Sushan Bhari, Avinash Bohora
Due to injury of Sompal Kami, Avinash Bohora might get chance in playing XI.  I will prefer Sushan Bhari instead of Lalit Rajbanshi. Both Sushan Bhari and Lalit Rajbanshi are slow left arm bowler, but the performance of Sushan Bhari in domestic matches are extraordinary.

Conclusion
Overall Playing XI
  • Gyanendra Malla (C)
  • Kushal Malla
  • Paras Khadka
  • Dipendra Singh Airee (VC)
  • Aarif Sheikh
  • Sharad Vesawkar
  • Binod Bhandari
  • Karan KC
  • Sandeep Lamichhane
  • Sushan Bhari
  • Avinash Bohora
