Collecting Yarshagumba is the major source of income for Karnali natives. Due to covid-19 pandemic, people of this zone are facing food crisis. They have lost a major source of income due to not being able to collect yarshagumba in lockdown. Among them Hari Bahadur Nepali is also a citizen of Karnali. He is struggling hard at this moment.
Hari Bahadur Nepali of Karnali zone is very stressed at the moment. He suffered a huge loss as he was unable to pick up Yarsagumba in the lockdown. He used to earn money by collecting yarsagumba and used the earned money to buy foods for his family.
Hari Bahadur Nepali said that, we have received some food from the Karnali village municipality as a relief. He is worried about how to get foods for his family in the coming days because he don't have any money. He has the family of six members.
He further added, there are no employment opportunities in the village. Due to the long lockdown, they can't go to other districts for searching work.
This is just a problem of a single person of Karnali Zone. Similarly, thousands of people are facing such types of crisis in the covid-19 pandemic. Governmental sectors as well as private sectors should watch them closely in order to save them from a pandemic.
