The government of Nepal has decided not to open inter-district, long-distance transportations and domestic flights till September 2020 due to covid-19 pandemic. Earlier, it was decided to open inter-district transport and air travel from 15th September. Similarly, it has been decided that educational institutes, including schools, colleges, universities will remain closed until next notice.
International airway services have been allowed to start conditionally from mid September. Earlier, the government had decided to allow only 500 people to come back to home from foreign. After the mid september different employee from different countries can come back to Nepal. The government of Nepal is also planning to bring them back to Nepal.
The covid-19 pandemic is constantly increasing in Nepal. In the last 24 hours, 1221 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus (Covid-19). With this, the total number of infected has reached over 38,000. So, the government of Nepal has decided to close long distance transportations and domestic flight.
